Apparently that’s how I pronounce it, with the emphasis on the ‘a’. Maybe it’s a Yorkshire thing?! Anyhoe…..to follow up the previous tea post it seems highly appropriate to serve some slices of cake and I have LordDavidProsser to thank for the rather lovely and delish looking ‘Super Sweet Blogging’ Award. Behold:

I’m not doing an awful lot of running or, in truthful fact, any exercise at the moment, so this picture is really the nearest proximity I can risk if I’m going to look as fabulous as possible in a huge black cape come graduation in December. In accepting this award there are five cake themed revelations to share first:
1.Cookies or Cake?
Cake of course, what a ridiculous question.
2. Chocolate or Vanilla?
Chocolate! Vanilla should be a standard ingredient not a choice.
3. What is your fave sweet treat?
Add answers one and two together.
4. When do you crave sweet things the most?
Most? it would be easiest to answer when ‘least’ (when I am asleep) – I’ve been known to substitute all major food groups with cake, and trifle for breakfast on Boxing Day is something of a shameful festive tradition.
5. If you had a sweet nickname, what would it be?
Caaaaaaaake – Face
Now I am required to serve up a Bakers Dozen of suitably sweet and worthy Bloggers :
Scribble of a happy go lucky girl
That’s it, I’m done, and I’m out of here because I can’t look at the picture any longer without breaking out the baking tins!!!!
Congratulations! Very well deserved! Thank you so much for the nomination!
Your more than welcome, enjoy basking in the cake themed glory!!
What a *sweet* post!
Congratulations! And thank you so much for the shout out . . . and I do love your blog back!
Thanks so much – I could handle a couple of those for breakfast
oh & trifle on boxing day is traditional here too
We also make a pavlova now we live in Australia instead of the usual xmas pud or christmas cake which even I can’t manage to eat when it’s hot and humid – pavlova has some obligatory fruit on top so it’s almost healthy-ish!
Pavlova is ESSENTIAL at Christmas – my Mums is legendary, unfortunately none ever leftover for breakfast
Wow congrates..:):) and thank you so much for the super cute & sweet award..!! i will post my response very soon..*excited*

You’re more than welcome! They are a bit time consuming but at least it get’s us writing another post! I had a bit of writers block and my caaaaaake award at least led to another rambling rant about not being able to get a decent cuppa tea
Congrats…I like that you said vanilla ice cream should be a standard ingredient.
I’m glad someone agrees with me on that one!!
my daughter and granddaughter would agree with you 1000%! afraid i’m a pie girl, myself…
Savoury or sweet?? Apple pie, cherry pie, rhubarb, crumbles……they all count too
