So, it would seem that the reason for all this shemozzle over formats is to do with improving the blogging experience for phone use and not computers. After a hairy scary week or so when ten of us were forced to voice our objections and/or approval of all the unnecessary tinkering, the Freshly Pressed page has settled down into somewhat of a compromise of my favoured (and most popularly voted for) smorgasbord display. There is still some distortion of photographs in the headers (and not being a phone blogger I can’t vouch for anything other than the PC display), but at least we have a nice buffet style selection to chose from again and it’s good to know that they were taking some notice of our valuable input…..?!
As for the Poll in the previous post: 7 people agreed with me, 1 person didn’t care a hoot for the changes as long as they got Freshly Pressed, and 1 person……..wound me up and made me tear my very own aging and greying hair out by voting for the reader format that was being displayed in the early stages of IT Monkey Tinkering. Anyhoisery……as promised, my favourite comment was “This has messed with my mojo” from the crisply succinct, and currently snowbound Pyjama Gardener . I could not have said it better myself, and whilst we are sweltering away in high temps and humidity here in far southern lands, there is nothing cooler than checking out this weeks wintry photographs on the said gardeners northern hemisphere blog whilst downing a nice iced tea (I just hope they are wearing some very warm PJays whilst poking around in all that snow to revive any flagging organic produce):
Twinings Australian Afternoon Tea, Lemon, Mint, Bundaberg Raw Sugar
In an effort to get into the spirit of things, that’s a photo take on my iphone (via some post production tinkering of my very own on my Instagram app – ozprawn) and posted to my blog……..but I’m not quite adept enough yet to actually blog from my phone so the new formats may be wasted on me
Thanks to everyone who bothered to vote and comment, next up I have another blog award to brag about from a fellow tea lover but for now I am glued to the Australian Open ………….

Wow! Thanks a lot – I’m chuffed to bits with that!
Keep cool down there
I like that photo, that iced tea looks lovely. I could go for a glass of iced tea right now even though it’s fairly cold outside.
Twas delish Madame W, but did give me cravings for cucumber sandwiches and the ridiculous feeling that we should be playing croquet and shouting tally ho on our parched lawn! Was stinky humid in BrisVegas yesterday and I’m still being bombarded with virtual snowballs of photos from all our Pommie friends and rellies on sledges back in the Mother Country! Is it just me, or does there seem to be a craze for ironically posed and facially featured snow men doing the rounds? Or is just all the crazies that happen to be on my Facebook?!
Hmm interesting. I admit I use WP mobile app, but yes, I don’t agree with the changes in layouts and formats of new WP. Anyway, I checked out this post mainly because of the photo. How does it taste?
delish! it was sooooo humid yesterday but I really needed my tea fix so it was the perfect solution!
Hahah how I wish we live near each other so we can easily have afternoon tea meetings haha
