Thank you to Impressions Of A Princess for nominating me; we are ‘Tea Sisters’ (BTW I finally got my hands on some Liquorice Legs after a visit to the T2 emporium this week; Liquorice Root, Fennel Seeds and Peppermint so it’s sweet and minty, delish!!). I’m particularly thrilled that you deem me not yet ancient enough to be bestowed with a pseudo denim patch and will be virtually swinging my pants till the end of the week at least!
As is the want of such awards here’s the Q & A Sesh -
What is something people would be surprised to know about you?
There surely can’t be any surprises left? I’ve aired my dirty laundry on WordPress several times for the whole world to see……how about: I used to be a smoker, (age 13 to about 33) and often a very secretive one so people who think they know me might find that a surprise?!
If you could meet one person who has died who would you choose?
Oscar Wilde, in the vain hope that he wouldn’t be pithily pissed off with me for resurrecting him and would say something witty and amusing to entertain me with instead.
Nightly owl or early bird?
Night owl usually, but on occasions both….I cannot sustain that scenario for long though before keeling over and falling asleep in public places at 3pm precisely……drooling hazard.
Bare or with make up?
Bare, if people don’t like the real me then I really can’t be bothered to waste my time or money faking their shallow approval.
Coffee or tea?
Tea, tea and thrice tea. No contest.
Forest or beach?
BEACH!!!
Shoes or sandals?
In Australia you can pretty much get away with sandals for any occasion….particularly if they are flat ones.
Favorite place to travel.
My own backyard……Australia is vast, intriguing, awe inspiring and uniquely different!
One food you could never eat.
There is an episode of the Long Way Round where Charlie is gagging on goat testicle soup. Just wrong on so many levels; I care not a jot whether it would offend the host, I aint ever eating THAT sistas!!
Favorite smell.
Vanilla because there is generally some cake or dessert at the end of it…..
My Nominees Should They Chose to Accept It!
I’m nominating five females for this sisterly award as follows;
Ericka at the Creative Liar makes me laugh, gets me virtually drunk and indulges my love of books with her excellent Tipsy Lit bookclub on Goodreads…..she is a hoot whilst also being an intelligent and fabulous blogger.
http://pillowsalamode.wordpress.com/
I suspect this crafty sister stumbled upon my blog in either a moment of madness or as a result of my one and only feeble attempt at a craft post……but she stuck around like glitter on glue and in addition to her genuine craft blog provides some stability and gravitas to my otherwise twittering nonsense.
http://hellokirsty.wordpress.com/
Kirsty has her sticky high tea fingers on the pulse of what’s hip and happening in the music world, and also, like me, blogs excerpts from internet conversations, and purely for reasons of aesthetics I want to slap this Sisterhood award on her sparkling white blog behind to jazz things up a bit on her sidebars….nudge nudge wink wink.

Another crafter who gifts me with all the ideas that I can never think up or deliver on my own. Also deserves a medal for long service as one of the first followers of my blog.
http://carrierubin.com/awards/
Carrie’s actually already got this award………and every other one you’ve ever seen on WP! AND she has an actual book published which is even more intimidating for a poor struggling wretch such as myself, but like the aforementioned Sisters she’s kind of a constant in my blog life so I couldn’t leave her off my list!
Rules to Follow:
- Acknowledge the person who passed the award to you and provide their link.
- Include the award logo on your blog.
- Answer the ten questions I posted above
- Nominate blogs and link those you have especially enjoyed reading. The number you can select is up to you.
- Notify each individual that you have nominated them.
Your writing makes me laugh!
But congratulations on your award and thank you for sharing it!!!
Most welcome, I can assure you that my craft attempts would make you laugh more……
Thanks so much for the award nod! I appreciate you thinking of me, even if I already have this one. I always say, the only two things that will survive an apocalypse are cockroaches and blog awards.
And I’m with you on the beach over the forest. In fact, I wish I was at one right now…
Thanks again!
Blog awards are slightly less creepy than cockroaches…..but only slightly!
Congratulations on the award. I enjoyed the acceptance speech. xx Hugs
Congratulations, tea sister! I love how you answer my questions, especially the one between going bare or with make up. The smell of vanilla doesn’t do anything to me, but having desserts with it will be nice. The food you have mentioned sounds gross though in my country some people eat the cow’s version of that.

Thank you!!!!! And getting people virtually drunk is one of my favorite hobbies.
LOVED Long Way Round and Charlie pretending he ate the testicle soup still makes me laugh
Congrats on the award.
